HARAIThe Forest Exorcism

The Forest Exorcism is an anomaly of place and action intertwined. It resists fixed identity because it is neither solely a ritual nor a location, but a convergence of both. The forest, long associated with the unconscious, becomes the stage upon which expulsion and transformation occur. In Jungian terms, the forest represents the unknown regions of the psyche, dense, disorienting, and alive with hidden forces. An exorcism within this space suggests a confrontation with internalized darkness, enacted through symbolic removal or release. As an anomaly, this archetype defies containment. It is not a person, but an event saturated with psychological meaning. The act of exorcism may not remove something external, but rather reconfigure the relationship to what is feared or repressed. The forest setting intensifies this process, emphasizing immersion rather than escape. The Forest Exorcism thus becomes a liminal act, where the boundaries between self and shadow dissolve, allowing transformation to emerge from within.
