The Alpha, leader of the pack, is the Tarot's Strength card − a force of confidence and authority, guiding others with charisma and courage. In mythology, she/he is the warrior chief, embodying qualities of both protector and conqueror. The skull's presence reminds them that even the top dog, the King/Queen of the Lions pride will one day be dust like the lowliest of creatures, a humbling truth that tempers pride with the perspective of mortality. The Alpha is driven by a primal drive to excel, to be the leader, to dominate; yet true power lies in resilience and the ability to uplift others. They are a meditation on life's cycles, where strength is tempered by humility and leadership by service, embodying the ultimate paradox: to lead is to serve, to dominate is to know when to yield.
